Welcome to the home of the New Zealand Mille!

The NZ Mille is a celebration of the famous Mille Miglia Road Race of Italy, which ran from 1927 to 1957. Classic Car Events are run in commemoration of the Mille Miglia all around the world, and in 2004 a father and daughter team decided that it was time to start one in New Zealand. Now in it's fourth year, the New Zealand Mille is run as a non-competitive social tour, open to pre 1981 sporting cars. With a focus on superb driving roads, spectacular scenery, great fun, and excellent food, wine and accommodation, the NZ Mille has been judged a great success by all who have taken part, with around 70% of participants returning each year.

MILLE is the Italian word for "a thousand" and it is pronounced ME-lay.
